- I have got Wham to work with Mosaic. Well kind of. I set up the audio/basic
- viewer to look at WHAM. Do you have the audio/basic pointing to the correct
- directory? How about adding .au files to the list of suffixes. I said kind
- of before because the sound loads but I can only get very small sections to
- play.

- Subject: SCO-ANSI terminal emulation on Winsock
-
- We are currently running Century's TermNET which provides SCO ANSI
- emulation for a PC telnet session over PC/NFS. A move to windows is
- imminent, however, and I would like to find out any information about
- a Winsock-version of TermNET or any other terminal software that supports
- SCO ANSI emulation.
-
- Can anyone provide me with information on products supporting this ? Contact
- details (esp. Aust contacts) would be very much appreciated.

- : I'm not sure what you are looking for, but there are several VB controls for
- : using the winsock interface. First of all, several commercial TCP/IP vendors
- : have VB tools. NetManage and Distinct both do. However, Distinct wants a
- : royalty if you distribute your VB program with their control. NetManage does
- : not. There are also some shareware controls available. Visual Technology
- : Product's VTSOCKET.VBX is one. GCP++ from Genisys is another. Both of these
- : can be found at sunsite.unc.edu. There is also a product called VBWSK (?)

-
- Any experience?
-
- : just can't get it to work on my system. But if it runs on your TCP/IP stack
- : then it would be a really nice tool. It comes with full blown telnet and ftp
- : programs in VB! Products with detailed example code are always at the top of
- : my list.
-
- The FTP can not work fine above my Trumpet and SuperTCP. It says:
-
- "can not build data connection(FTP use data connection and control connection)
-
- I dont know what wrong is. I will trace source.
- And I wrote a POP3 client,it seem ok.
-
- I think its programming is very easy (than VBWSK?).
- Above is my first try of VTSocket.
